Below are the questions asked during the live event, along with their respective answers.

Q: Does it support 3-phase EUT?
A: EMSCOPE is ready to include 2 additional channels to allow a 3 phase LINS to measured in all ports simultaneously. This is not implemented yet and is in our pipeline for future models.

Q: What is the S/N ratio of the EMI receiver?
A: It depends on the frequency band and the detector used: SNR is 100-120dB.

Q: Excellent! Automates the old LISN-Mate method of “modal” analysis. Congrats! Will you demo at EMCS – Reno Symposium?
A: Thank you. We are planning to exhibit at EMC symposium in RENO, but waiting for a final decision due to COVD19 alarm status.

Q: Does the EMI Reciever have a filter like <150khz or other preselection filters?
A: The front end has been carefully designed to meet CISPR 16 specifications without it.

Q: Is it capable of measuring discontinuous disturbances, “Clicks”, per CISPR 14-1?
A: This is a new future included in our pipeline for future upgrades. IF you require this feature please contact us by email at info@emzer.com.

Q: Is the calibration process the same as for a traditional LISN?
A: You have 2 pieces of equipment inside (the LISN and the receiver). Both can be accessed separately and calibrated according to standard procedures.

Q: What is the cost?
A: Please contact us at info@emzer.com or info@wavecontrol.com to get a formal quote.

Q: What is the real-time measurement bandwidth?
A: It depends on the standard: We include the CISPR RBW: 200 Hz, 9 kHz, and 120 kHz. And also MIL-STD RBW: 1 kHz and 10 kHz. The total measurement BW si 30MHz or 110MHz.

Q: EMSCOPE is compliant with DO-160?
A: DO160 requires a different type of LISN, so you could use external LISN for this test. EMSCOPE can measure EMI and Modal measurements up to 110MHz with RBW of 120 kHz. If this is enough for your application, then we are ok.
